Zimbabwe: An idea to be considered

Thank God for the Internet age! Because of it, we can hear many different voices. A great example is this article in New Vision (touted as Uganda leading website). It suggests that the best option for resolving the crisis in Zimbabwe would be to appoint Kofi Annan as the new mediator as opposed to the South African president. in the eyes of many Africans, the West's history of colonialism disqualifies them as morally acceptable mediators in a political problem as this. Appointing an African leader of Annan's clout could quiet this criticism while still accomplishing due pressure on Mugabe to work with the opposition.

I am not sure this is the final solution but definitely a step forward.

That's certainly an idea worth looking at.
